What is digital out-of-home?

Over the past several decades, we've seen outdoor advertising that included billboards, posters and signs, all displaying advertising or other relevant information created specifically for consumers on the go. While some of that messaging was dynamic – such as the advertising shown before movies in the form of video, motion gfx, flash, etc. – most of it was static.

Today, advancements in technology have contributed to incredible growth in the digital out-of-home industry.  Digital out-of-home platforms include digital signage, digital billboards, LCDs, LEDs, plasma displays and projected images found in public and private environments.
