I admit it, I'm looking forward to the Harry Potter final installment just as much as the next gal, so I thought this bit of news was fun. Tonight's London premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II will be streamed live to commuters across the busy city. The star-studded spectacle will be broadcast in real-time on Transvision digital billboards at major train stations across the city.
This will be the first film premiere to stream footage live to digital billboards in the UK and coverage will be streamed to 10 JCDecaux Transvision Screens in a station domination that runs from 4.00pm – 7.30pm tonight. The screens will also show text commentary of the event, along with the videos.
Expect to see live video footage continue to be a growing trend in DOOH. On this side of the pond, Times Square pedestrians were recently treated to live coverage of the Tony Awards.
So grab yourself a butterbeer and enjoy the show!
