Montreal and Toronto are a hop, skip and jump away from each other. And being that my family reigns from the 5-1-4, I often times get on the train and head west to the rival city of Toronto. And what better way to promote travel between the two cities (by Toronto Tourism) than to give each city a live glimpse of the other?
Enter the Cheating Wall. A campaign created by MonsterMedia and CP & B last summer to give residents of Montreal and Toronto the chance to cheat on their own city by getting a glimpse of what's happening a train ride away. The installation in each city had a digital screen storefront which looked like a seemingly plain 'ole brick wall, except for the portal windows passerby's could see what was going on on the other side (or in this case, in the other city). Each wall utilized live video and microphones so Montrealer's could chat, entertain or have some friendly competition with Torontonians and vice versa....24/7. Pretty neat, eh?
