Nordstom's flagship store in Seattle, WA has created a window display implementing Microsoft's Kinect motion controller. Passerby's can "hand paint" lighted letters into the display window. The sign labeled "Please DO touch the glass" encourages shoppers to interact with the display. The Kinect camera-based controller is hidden in a fixture below a Dolce & Gabbana handbag. The display will be running until April 11. We wonder what to expect from Nordstrom next? Perhaps a page out of Macy's book and implement QR Codes in to store fixtures?
